Order of the Coif

A chapter of the Order of the Coif was established at the School in 1971. This prestigious national organization honors graduating students with recognition of their scholarship and promotes advancement of ethical standards in the legal profession.

Law students are eligible for election to the Order of the Coif if they have completed at least 75 percent of their law studies in graded courses and their grade record ranks them in the top 10 percent of all graduating students for that class year.
