Students Draft Amicus Brief for National Case

As part of their work in a multi-disciplinary course on peace and conflict, Lisa Collins, James Dodd and Flynn Sylvest (`06) drafted an amicus brief outlining how Brazil violated numerous provisions of the American Convention on Human Rights in its handling of the murder of a union leader whose known killer has yet to stand trial. The case was scheduled to be heard by the Inter-American Commission, the highest tribunal under the convention.
