Chris Melendrez ('08) Named Best Oral Advocate

Chris Melendrez was awarded second place for Best Oral Advocate in the 2007 Hispanic National Bar Association's Moot Court Competition. Along with Vanessa Chavez, he represented the UNM School of Law in the national competition that attracted 32 teams. They were coached by New Mexico Court of Appeals Judge A. Joseph Alarid.

“I feel really fortunate to have such great instructors at UNM, and also for the support of our classmates and the legal community that helped us prepare,” said Melendrez.
