Bookstores

UNM Bookstore
The University of New Mexico has two bookstores. The main bookstore is located at 2301 Central NE (near the Central/Stanford entrance to main campus). Hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The primary bookstore for law students is the Medical/Legal bookstore, located in the Domenici Education Center for Health Sciences on north campus. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays TBA. While this is the smaller of the two bookstores, it stocks all legal books and supplies.

Purchasing Books

As a first-year law student you will be unable to purchase your books until you receive your class schedule. With the short turnaround between receiving your class schedule and the start of the semester, first-year students normally purchase their books at the UNM Bookstore versus purchasing them on-line or from other students. The bookstore carries a high quantity of textbooks and you will have no difficulty finding your books.

Materials

Course Reserve
Law professors can use Course Reserve to make material readily available to their students during the course of a semester.

Copy Center
The School of Law has its own copy center. If you have a course that a professor has created a reading packet for, during orientation, you will pick up this packet at the copy center in the basement of the law school. There is no additional charge for reading packets.
