1951

Jacob Rosenbaum was honored by the Cleveland Bar Association as an outstanding real estate attorney. He is past president of the Lawyer Pilots Bar Association and is a life trustee of the Cleveland Zoological Society. He has retired from Tucker Ellis & West, in Cleveland, Ohio, and would like to hear from his classmates at Jacob.Rosenbaum@TuckerEllis.com.

1960

Norman Thayer received the designation, Lawyer of the Year, in antitrust litigation in the 2013 Best Lawyers in America directory. He also was included in the directory’s Best Lawyers category for his work in bet-the-company litigation, antitrust litigation and commercial litigation. He was inducted into the Roehl Circle of Honor for Trial Lawyers in 2010. He is the senior partner at Sutin, Thayer & Browne.

1962

Clarence BassClarence Bass released his 10th fitness book . Bass, age 75, believes in combining weights, aerobics and sound nutrition to achieve total fitness and permanent fat loss. Ripped, Bass’ first book, was published in 1980, and Bass has been a long-time columnist for Muscle & Fitness magazine. In his latest book, the author discusses the personality traits of lawyers and how law school and practice prepared him for a career as a fitness writer. Take Charge will be the focus of a conference at the University of Texas, Austin in September 2013.

C. Gene Samberson received the 2010 Trustee of Free Enterprise Award from the University of the Southwest. The award was presented for outstanding business achievements, ethical business practices, community leadership and working to preserve a free society. He is a former University of New Mexico regent.

1967

John C. Wheeler practices elder law in Truth or Consequences. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the National Care Planning Council.
