Alumni Gather for CLE Presentations and Good Company

D. C. ReceptionThe Washington, D.C., law office of Wiley Rein was abuzz with University of New Mexico School of Law alumni in mid-October. The alumni were there for a CLE presented by Emeritus Professor Ted Occhialino. The CLE was followed by a reception.

The CLE and reception were hosted by Henry Rivera (`73), a partner with Wiley Rein, and Ann Claassen (`89), counsel with Latham & Watkins.

D.C. ReceptionOcchialino presented two separate CLE lectures. They were titled, “When Lawyers Practice Outside Their Jurisdiction: Conflicts of Law in Disciplinary Proceedings” and “Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird": Guilty of Malpractice and Worse?”

Proceeds from the registration fee and reception donations totaled nearly $2,000, all of which will benefit the UNM School of Law Washington, DC Intern Fellowship Fund.
