Alumni Gather for CLE Presentations and Good Company
The Washington, D.C., law office of Wiley Rein was abuzz with University of New Mexico School of Law alumni in mid-October. The alumni were there for a CLE presented by Emeritus Professor Ted Occhialino. The CLE was followed by a reception.
The CLE and reception were hosted by Henry Rivera (`73), a partner with Wiley Rein, and Ann Claassen (`89), counsel with Latham & Watkins.
Occhialino presented two separate CLE lectures. They were titled, “When Lawyers Practice Outside Their Jurisdiction: Conflicts of Law in Disciplinary Proceedings” and “Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird": Guilty of Malpractice and Worse?”
Proceeds from the registration fee and reception donations totaled nearly $2,000, all of which will benefit the UNM School of Law Washington, DC Intern Fellowship Fund.
