I started the clinical law program because I wanted to change legal education. When I graduated from the UNM law school, I remember wondering what the practice of law was and what skills I had for that. I could read cases and write legal memoranda, but I didn't know anything about the actual practice. My job with the clinic has been to help translate what students learn in the classroom into reality.
