Law Practice Clinic
Since I practiced law for a long time before becoming a law professor, I thought working in the clinic would be relatively easy. It was both the hardest and the most rewarding work I have done at the law school. Balancing the needs of the students with those of the clients is daunting. At the same time, watching the students work hard every day on behalf of real clients, take on increasingly complex challenges, and eventually grow into full-fledged lawyers, was an indescribable pleasure. The clinical experience can be life-changing for both the students and for the very grateful clients they serve.
