Law Practice Clinic
Over the years, I have taught clinic in many contexts, including criminal defense, general civil practice, elder law, and child advocacy. I have had the good fortune to work with many remarkable and memorable people - clients, judges, lawyers, professors, doctors, and other skilled and accomplished folks. Working with these people provides wonderful opportunities for personal and professional growth. However, the greatest rewards for teaching in the clinic come from the students. Every clinical semester is like experiencing the world of law and law practice for the first time. Inevitability, there is a magical moment when, through the eyes of a student, the world of law changes dramatically, like the scene from the Wizard of OZ when Dorothy leaves the black and white boundaries of Kansas and enters the full spectrum of colors in OZ.
