Director, Southwest Indian Law Clinic

I like to teach in the Clinic because it lets me keep one foot in practice. It allows me to work with clients and with indigenous communities who would not be able to afford counsel and that has always been an important goal of mine. I think that being able to interact with students one-on-one is at the heart of legal education. I love the students' energy - it is very invigorating.
