UNM teams have participated in the National Native American Law Students Association Moot Court Competition since its inception in 1993. Open to all students, teams of two submit their brief and engage in oral arguments on a current issue involving indigenous peoples in the United States. The school has a very strong record with teams arguing successfully and individual students winning distinguished orator awards.
