This course presents an introduction to statutory and case law concerning federal lands, state lands, conservation transactions, wildlife, the Endangered Species Act, water resources, wetlands, and fire. Examples from New Mexico will supplement the text.
It is appropriate for students who would like an overview of Natural Resources and Environmental Law, but who do not intend to pursue a concentration in this area. The class does overlap sufficiently with Federal Public Lands that I would not suggest taking both classes.
You may take this to satisfy the law school’s writing requirement. Please let me know by email if you wish to do so.
