Lora A. Lucero, a land use attorney and city planner, has over thirty years experience in community and regional planning, and land use law. As former Editor of Planning & Environmental Law and attorney to the amicus curiae committee of the American Planning Association, Lucero drafted and/or facilitated the filing of amicus briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court, and in many federal and state courts in cases of importance to the planning profession.
She has contributed chapters to a number of books on land use law topics, and edits the State & Local Law News for the ABA's Section of State & Local Government Law. She is Natural Resources Director for the League of Women Voters of New Mexico and focuses her current advocacy and writing on topics related to climate change.
Lucero is a graduate of Santa Clara University - School of Law. Her seminar, Planning & Environmental Law, weaves land use, environment, growth and planning together with current cases and conflicts.
