Nan G. Nash

Nan Nash was appointed a judge on the Second Judicial District Court in January 2003 and won election in November 2004. She was assigned to the Civil Division in September 2007 and served as Presiding Family Court Judge from December
2004 through August 2007.

Prior to her appointment as judge, she served as the court's special commissioner of domestic violence, Family Court hearing officer and court alternatives director.

Nash remains active in both the family violence and ADR communities in New Mexico and regularly lectures on family law and mediation-related topics. She has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law since 1995, chairs the Supreme Court's Domestic Relations Task Force and serves as an Equal Access to Justice commissioner. In July 2007 she was appointed to the New Mexico Judicial Standards Commission.
