The UNM School of Law is proud to continue a long tradition of both excellence and value. Above the Law has ranked UNM law school 26th in the nation (and 8th among public law schools) in their inaugural “Above the Law Top 50 Law School Rankings”. Recently the National Jurist ranked the UNM School of Law 8th in the nation for Best Value Law Schools.
The University of New Mexico School of Law’s class of 2013 graduation took place on Saturday, May 11th. Professor, author and engaging public speaker Tom Goldstein addressed the law school's graduating class, faculty and guests as the 2013 distinguished commencement speaker. Professor Goldstein is the publisher, and a regular contributor, to SCOTUS blog, which he co-founded with Amy Howe in 2002. Goldstein impressed the graduation crowd with his wit while he candidly shared a number of amusing stories about his own journey through the legal profession. Read more...
Albuquerque Business First has announced its 2013 40 Under Forty honoree list. The 2013 list includes a number of UNM School of Law graduates and friends, and names Associate Dean for Faculty Development, Prof. Max Minzner among its 2013 honorees.
In addition, UNM Law graduates Georgene Louis (’04), Katie Terry (’04) and Alex Flores (‘13), and adjunct professor Rebecca Avitia, made the list. The law school would also like to congratulate Torri Jacobus, of the Second Judicial District Court, Roxanne Lara, of the Lara Law firm, and Tiffany Roach Martin, of the Modrall Sperling law firm on their being featured in this list.
