Indian Law Program
Native American Law Students Association
One of the largest and most active student organizations at UNM, Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) encourages mutual support among students, arranges activities, and works to promote and assist the Indian Law Program. It also provides a network for students interested in Indian Law issues and promotes public awareness of Native American legal issues.
The UNM Chapter regularly participates in the National NALSA Moot Court Competitions. UNM teams have a very strong record with teams finishing high in competitions and individual students winning distinguished orator and Best of Brief awards. In 2002 UNM NALSA was recognized as the best NALSA Chapter in the nation. Membership is open to all law students.
