School of Law Earns Top Ranking by Hispanic Business Magazine
For the second year in a row, Hispanic Business magazine has named the UNM School of Law the top law school in the country for Hispanic students.
At the law school, Hispanics make up nearly one-third of the student body, Hispanic professors make up 26 percent of the faculty and 19 percent of the graduates are Hispanic. Such diversity led to the top ranking.

Sept. 16 Talk to Focus on Farm Animal Protection
Gene Baur, co-founder and president of Farm Sanctuary, a national farm animal protection organization, will discuss the group's mission and sign his new book, Farm Santuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at the UNM School of Law.
The book, published earlier this year, addresses ethical questions involved in the production of beef, poultry, pork, milk and eggs and looks at what people can do to stop the mistreatment of farm animals and promote compassion. Baur lives in rural New York and will donate 100 percent of the book's proceeds to Farm Sanctuary. More on Baur
