Nan G. Nash was appointed as a Special Commissioner of Domestic Violence for the Second Judicial District Court in April, 1996. She serves on the Board of directors of the Domestic Violence Legal Helpline, the VAWA State Implementation Team and on the New Mexico Domestic Violence Action Committee and is active with various Full Faith and Credit initiatives. She is a frequent trainer and lecturer on Family violence issues and teaches a Family Violence Seminar as an adjunct professor for the UNM School of Law. Prior to her appointment as Special Commissioner, she was Director of the Court Alternatives Division of the Second Judicial District, where she supervised the Court’s alternative dispute resolution programs and assisted with the creation of the Teen Court and Drug Court Programs. Ms. Nash is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law and practiced with the Civerolo, Gralow & Hill, P.A. law firm before joining the Court.
