Nan G. NashNan G. Nash was appointed as a Special Commissioner of Domestic Violence for the Second Judicial District Court in April 1996. She currently serves as a judge on the same court. She has served on the board of directors of the Domestic Violence Legal Helpline, the VAWA State Implementation Team, the New Mexico Domestic Violence Action Committee, and has been active with various Full Faith and Credit initiatives. She is a frequent trainer and lecturer on family violence issues and teaches a Family Violence Seminar as an adjunct professor for the UNM School of Law. Prior to her appointment as Special Commissioner, she was Director of the Court Alternatives Division of the Second Judicial District, where she supervised the Court’s alternative dispute resolution programs and assisted with the creation of the Teen Court and Drug Court Programs. Ms. Nash is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law and practiced with the Civerolo, Gralow & Hill, P.A. law firm before joining the Court.
