DeAnza Valencia Sapien (`09) Receives New SBA Award

Leon Howard, president of the Student Bar Association, presented DeAnza Valencia Sapien with the SBA's inaugural Award for Public Service during the annual SBA Auction. The new award will be presented annually to a 3L who has dedicated himself or herself to serving both the law school and greater community.

"Even though law school can be demanding in and of itself, it has been through my extracurricular and community service work that I have grown the most as a person during my time here at the UNM School of Law," said Sapien, in receiving the award during the annual SBA Auction.
