The Class of 2010 began their law-school career in mid-August with two days of orientation activities. A total of 112 students make up the entering class, of which 49 percent are female and 39 percent are minorities. Dean Suellyn Scarnecchia opened orientation with a welcoming talk. After being introduced to key administrators and staff, the students and their families were treated to dinner during which the students received pins that signified their introduction to the legal profession. U.S. District Judge James Browning offered some comments of encouragement.
