Professor Eileen Gauna will present a speech titled, "Hidden Impacts of Climate Change and Carbon Trading" at a day-long symposium on Aug. 21 at George Pearl Hall on the UNM campus.
The symposium, organized by the New Mexico League of Women Voters and the Sierra Club, is titled, "Climate Change in New Mexico: Seizing the Opportunities." It runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and costs $20, which includes a box lunch. Scholarships are available.
Discussion will focus on what needs to be done to confront climate change with meaningful policies, laws and actions.
