Justin Gonzalez Takes Second Place in National Bioethics Writing Contest

Justin GonzalesJustin Gonzalez, a 3L, was awarded second place in the Hoffman Bioethics Student Writing Competition. His paper was titled, "Modern Medicine, Murder and the Mind: The Disparity Between Advances in Medicine and the Current Criminal Law" and has been accepted for publication in the October-December 2009 issue of the Journal of Legal Medicine.

The national competition is sponsored by the American College of Legal Medicine, a professional community of physicians, attorneys, dentists, healthcare professionals, administrators, scientists and others with a sustained interest in medical legal affairs. His award comes with a cash prize.

The Journal of Legal Medicine is the official quarterly law review publication of the American College of Legal Medicine.
