UNM School of Law students Melissa Kennelly (left) and Keri Hatley, both members of the Class of 2010, have been awarded Joe Rudd tuition scholarships for the 2009-2010 academic year by the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation.
Only 14 scholarships were awarded to students from 15 law schools nationwide. Eligible law students must attend one of the foundation's 31 governing law schools
The prestigious scholarship was established in 1980 in memory of Joe Rudd, a prominent Alaska natural resources attorney. Scholarship selections are based on the interest of candidates in natural resources law and their potential to make significant contributions to the field.
