Tony Burchell (`11) has received a scholarship from the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation for the fall 2010 semester. He is among 20 recipients chosen from the foundation’s 30 governing law schools.
Last spring, Samantha Barncastle (`10) was chosen as a scholarship recipient. The scholarship program was established in 1993 to encourage and support well-qualified law students who have the potential to make significant contributions to scholarship in natural resources law. To date, almost $1.2 million has been awarded to 263 scholars.
The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation is a collaborative educational nonprofit organization dedicated to the scholarly and practical study of the law and regulations relating to mining, oil and gas, water, public lands, land use, conservation, environmental protection and other related areas.
