Lawyers unable to travel to Washington, D.C., last fall for a Continuing Legal Education class presented by former UNM law professor Maureen Sanders (`79) can now watch the presentation and receive CLE credit from any location where they have Internet access.
“Professionalism East of the Rio Grande” is the first self-study online CLE program offered through the University of New Mexico School of Law’s CLE program. This begins a new law-school effort to help lawyers meet their CLE obligations through easy-to-access CLE courses, which they can view on their own schedules. Registration and payment are also taken care of through a secure online process.
“This Washington, D.C. presentation is the first of several CLE courses we will make available online to the state’s lawyers,” said Daniel Ortega, director of the UNM School of Law’s CLE program. “We will gradually add more courses and I encourage lawyers to keep checking our webpage for new additions.”
