The University of New Mexico School of Law welcomed the 113 members of the Class of 2014 to the law school community during orientation events. Chief Justice Charles Daniels (`69) of the New Mexico Supreme Court shared encouragement and wisdom with the students.
This year's entering class was chosen from a pool of 942 applicants, reflecting that the UNM School of Law continues to be one of the most selective schools in the country. As a result, the entering class is quite academically gifted. For example, about 25 percent of the entering class comes to UNM with a LSAT score in the 90th percentile or above. The Class of 2014 also reflects the faculty's continuing commitment to embracing New Mexico's racial and ethnic diversity. Indeed, the class includes more Hispanics and American Indians than last year's entering class.
