Professor Eileen Gauna (`85), associate dean for academic affairs, was named Scholar of the Week on Nov. 12 by the Center for Law, Environment, Adaptation and Resources (CLEAR) at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Law.
Gauna is the fourth CLEAR scholar. UNC launched its Scholar of the Week program in mid-October to recognize and re-examine the work of environmental law scholarship. Previous CLEAR scholars are: Carol Rose, Richard Lazarus and Robert Percival.
In addition to re-appraising past scholarship, the CLEAR scholar project provides a unique educational opportunity for UNC law students, who conduct the primary analysis of the featured scholar’s work.
