Over 275 area alumni from the very first graduating classes through our most recent 2013 graduates and Law School friends attended a holiday celebration on December 11. It was the first time many alumni had the opportunity to meet Dean David J. Herring, and a time for all to connect with old and new friends.
The event was billed as a wine tasting of New Mexico wines with special guest sommeliers. The guest sommeliers turned out to be several UNM Law faculty, including former deans and professors, who hosted the wine stations and discussed flavors, aromas, and characteristics of several local wines.
El Mariachi Tierra Encantada played Mariachi music throughout the two-story UNM School of Law Hart Wing, adding an exuberant flair, while a variety of delicious hors d’oeuvres and beautiful holiday displays added the final touches. This first-ever, all-inclusive holiday celebration could be the start of a new tradition at the Law School!
