Molly Schmidt-Nowara has been selected to receive the 2013 Justice Minzner Outstanding Advocacy for Women Award by the State Bar of New Mexico. Schmidt-Nowara is an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law and currently teaches the Innocence and Justice Seminar. She graduated magna cum laude from the UNM Law School in 2001.
The Justice Minzner Outstanding Advocacy for Women Award recognizes lawyers or judges who have distinguished themselves during the prior year by providing legal assistance to women who are underrepresented or underserved, or by advocating for causes that will ultimately benefit and/or further the rights of women.
The Committee on Women and the Legal Profession of the NM State Bar invites members of the legal community to the award presentation on February 20th at 5:30 p.m at Hotel Andaluz. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided by the Committee and a cash bar will be available. R.S.V.P. to Evann Kleinschmidt.
