Mission Statement
The Christian Legal Society Student Chapter at the UNM School of Law provides an opportunity for law students to engage in Christ-centered fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and service.
In fellowship we find encouragement, strength and joy while building relationships that will last the rest of our lives. Through Bible study, we nourish our spiritual lives and anchor our souls in Jesus Christ. In prayer, we bring our needs and those of the law school to the all powerful, compassionate God who hears our requests and delights in our fellowship. "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." - Micah 6:8
We hope to be a beacon of light in the law school and the community, serving others and demonstrating the powerful love of Christ as we learn to be virtuous lawyers. "Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the afflicted and needy." -Proverbs 31:9
Events and Activities
CLS offers a weekly Bible study and fellowship, as well as having occasional informal gatherings such as our Spring family picnic and the National Day of Prayer breakfast. We also plan to assist Christian Legal Aid and various community service organizations in bringing about justice in Albuquerque and worldwide.
