Truth In Justice

This organization seeks to heighten public awareness of the widespread nature of wrongful convictions. It is an excellent site to visit for background on the issues. It includes studies on the causes of wrongful convictions; recommended reading; featured cases; links to Innocence Project sites, and comprehensive links to related sites. The site was started by two authors of a book on wrongful convictions and may be the first of its kind.

The Justice Project’s Campaign For Criminal Justice Reform

Focusing on the innocently convicted, the Campaign’s mission is to rally the public to support legislative changes to the capitol punishment system. The website has numerous links to studies on the federal death penalty; information on state justice issues and on the proposed federal Innocence Protection Act.

National Association Of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL)

NACDL Treasurer Barry Scheck and member Peter Neufield were founders of the Innocence Project at the Cardozo Law School in New York. As a result of their work, many new Innocence Projects have been created across the country. The Innocence Project Committee of NACDL has "Headline News" stories of people wrongly convicted.
