Celebration to Honor Eric Knapp, Dana Marie Knapp, and Professor Emeritus Peter A. Winograd

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the UNM School of Law hosted a special celebration recognizing a transformative pledge of $4.5 million to the Peter A. Winograd Endowed Annual Scholarship in Law.
This commitment by Eric Knapp (’98) and his wife Dana Marie Knapp builds upon more than two decades of giving and includes a principal-level estate gift that will ensure the scholarship’s long-term impact for generations of law students. This commitment also represents the largest gift in the School of Law’s philanthropic history.
Friends, family, faculty, and community members gathered at the Albuquerque Museum to celebrate this extraordinary gift and to honor the lasting impact of Eric Knapp, Dana Marie Knapp, and Professor Emeritus Peter A. Winograd.
