School of Law Hires New Associate Director of Career Services and New Operations Specialist

The School of Law is proud to welcome Audrey McKee, who joins the School of Law as the Associate Director of Career Services, and Candelaria Romero who joins the School of Law as the Operations Specialist.
McKee grew up in Nebraska and moved to New Mexico in 1982 to attend the University of New Mexico. She earned a Bachelor of University Studies in 1985, a Master of Arts in Public Administration with a Certification in Budget and Finance in 1987, and a J.D. in 1991, all from the University of New Mexico. Her 35-year legal career has included practicing in the public sector, the private sector, and for local non-profits.
“As a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, I am thrilled to be assisting all students, staff, and faculty in my role as Associate Director of Career Services,” shared McKee.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Candelaria Romero has built her career around serving the University of New Mexico community. Through her work with both the University of New Mexico and the UNM Foundation, she has supported the university’s mission while actively contributing to campus life.
Throughout her years of service, she has remained actively engaged across campus, serving on Staff Council, volunteering at Homecoming, and contributing to a variety of university committees and initiatives. Her dedication to service and collaboration reflects her passion for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for colleagues, students, and alumni alike.
Romero’s passion for the university is reflected in her appreciation for the people she works alongside. “I am so grateful to work in such a great and supportive environment here at the School of Law,” she shared.
