"UNM Law has consistently given me opportunities to pursue real-world experiences beyond anything I expected to be doing while still in law school: I’ve helped pass a bill in the state legislature, helped draft other proposed legislation, worked on criminal prosecutions, testified before the utilities commission to help keep people’s lights on during the pandemic, and helped New Mexico Pueblos sue the United States government to protect all of our waters. These kinds of opportunities to learn in the classroom and take that to do some good
in the world is everything I could’ve wanted from law school"

"As an immigrant and an older student with a previous career, I have found a sense of belonging and community at UNMSOL. The professors, staff and students have been supportive and welcoming. They have also inspired me to strive to achieve my best, and to think about ways to be of service to the wider community as I begin my career as a lawyer."

"UNM Law School helped me develop my skills, sharpen my mind, and realize my potential as a future legal advocate. Through this experience, I made meaningful connections with my peers, professors, supervisors, and I gained mentors. My experience as a law student inspires me to work hard to contribute to the greater good and serve my community."

"UNM School of Law has been a blessing to me and my family. As a non-traditional student that moved my family to New Mexico specifically for law school, UNMSOL supported me through the entire transition. From my first year, I received support from faculty, staff, and alumni that are all truly vested in the success of each UNMSOL student. Receiving scholarships from funders and support and mentorship from alumni, helped me realize that the UNMSOL legal community reaches beyond the walls of the law school building. Graduating with an Associate Attorney position that was made possible by the law school's assistance in connecting me with a law clerk position my first summer of law school, is affirmation of the school's influence on the future of its students."

"I have never experienced a closer professional community than UNM School of Law. From local attorneys volunteering their time in Evidence and Trial Practice, to New Mexico Judges and Justices teaching Appellate Decision-Making. When you attend UNM Law, you truly become part of the pack. Go Lobos!"
