The Selection Process
Evaluation Criteria
The Commission will evaluate candidates who meet the Constitutional or Statutory qualifications on the following criteria borrowed from The American Judicature Society's Handbook for Judicial Nominating Commissioners:
- physical and mental ability to perform tasks required
- impartiality
- industry
- integrity
- professional skills
- community involvement
- social awareness
- collegiality
- writing ability
- decisiveness
- judicial temperament
- speaking ability
