Prof. Margaret Montoya to be Honored by Southwest Women's Law Center

UNM Law School Emerita Professor Margaret Montoya will be honored at the Southwest Women's Law Center's (SWLC) annual "Celebrating Women's Stories" dinner on Tuesday, March 11 along with Major General Gwen Bingham, Diane Harrison Ogawa, and Dr. Katharine W. Winograd. A reception to meet the honorees will be held at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. at the University of New Mexico's Student Union Building, Ballrooms B and C. This event is a fundraiser for the SWLC.
The Celebrating Women's Stories event recognizes the accomplishments and personal histories of exceptional women in New Mexico. The Southwest Women's Law Center is a New Mexico nonprofit whose mission and goals include creating greater opportunities for women and girls in New Mexico. SWLC was a strong advocate for passage of the recent Fair Pay Act for Women legislation, signed on March 13, 2013.
