Professor Burr’s Book is Among Finalists at 2014 New Mexico Book Awards

Professor Sherri Burr’s newest book “A Short & Happy Guide to Financial Well-being” is a finalist for the New Mexico Book Awards in the category of Business Book. She also contributed chapters to two books that are finalists for the anthology award: “Max Evans & a Few Friends” and “The Storyteller’s Anthology.”
The winners will be announced at the Awards Banquet for the 2014 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Hotel Albuquerque, located at 800 Rio Grande Blvd, NW, Old Town Albuquerque.
In the meantime, Burr will give several talks to the general public about financial well-being. On October 30, 2014, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., she will present at the University of New Mexico Bookstore, 2301 Central S.E. The phone number is 277-5451. Burr is the Regents' Professor of Law at the University of New Mexico. A graduate of the Yale Law School, Princeton University and Mount Holyoke College, Burr is the author of 20 books and is the New Mexico Press Women's 2014 Communicator of Achievement. Her book A Short & Happy Guide to Financial Well-being teaches people how to thrive financially with the resources that they have.
