Professor Rob Schwartz Addresses Public Health Issue in Op-ed

In an op-ed published in the Feb. 11 edition of the Albuquerque Journal, Professor Rob Schwartz discusses a federal rule that extends all preventive services, including contraceptive services, to women who are insured through their employers.
“The rule is based on research findings of the Institutes of Medicine that contraceptive services are preventive services because contraception prevents so much maternal, infant and fetal illness and death,” he wrote.
