Professor Reed Benson Leads Water Law Panel at Alma Mater

Professor Reed Benson returned to the University of Michigan Law School to lead a panel discussion during the 25th Annual National Association of Environmental Law Societies conference in March. He attended the first conference as a young law student at Michigan.
For his presentation, Benson teamed up with U o fM Law Professor Noah Hall for a discussion on “The Future of Great Lakes Water.” Hall is an expert on Great Lakes water law and policy, and Benson provided a comparative western perspective on water issues. They discussed the successes and challenges of public interest water advocacy in both the West and the Great Lakes region.
The two-day conference was titled, “25 Years Back, 25 Years Forward: At the Crossroads of Environmental Law and was sponsored by the UofM Environmental Law Society and the school’s Environmental Law & Policy Program. The program focused on cross-cutting issues in the environmental law field today.
