The School of Law welcomed 108 students to the Class of 2028 Orientation, which was held from August 13 to August 15. The event introduced incoming first-year law students to the academic expectations, professional standards, and community resources that will shape their legal education.

During the three-day event, incoming students heard from faculty, alumni, and legal professionals, and connected with mentors and peers. The orientation opened with a warm welcome by Dean Camille Carey, followed by presentations on law school expectations, financial aid, registrar services, and student benefits and resources. Students also met their Student Bar Association (SBA) mentors and attended workshops covering academic success, professional ethics, wellness, and career development. They also explored the many student organizations and professional networks available to support their growth.

With a full schedule of informative sessions and interactive workshops, the Class of 2028 Orientation set the stage for students to begin their legal journeys. The School of Law is proud to welcome these future lawyers.
