The State Bar of New Mexico’s Senior Lawyers Division Presents Scholarships to Three Third-Year Law Students

Each year, the State Bar of New Mexico’s Senior Lawyers Division hosts the Annual Attorney Memorial Scholarship Presentation and Reception. This year’s event was held on November 18, 2025.
The gathering serves as both a remembrance and a celebration. The Senior Lawyers Division honors members of New Mexico’s legal community who have passed in the last year and awards scholarships to outstanding third-year students at the UNM School of Law. This year, Attorney Memorial Scholarships were presented to Fouad Rtaimate-Lagdani, Katherine Leung, and Victor Reyes.
The Senior Lawyers Division has been awarding scholarships to UNM School of Law students for several years. Each $5,000 award is given in memory of attorneys who have made a lasting impact on the profession. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, professional goals, and submitted essays.
This recognition reflects not only academic excellence but also a commitment to upholding the values and dedication demonstrated by the attorneys honored through these memorials. This year’s recipients embody that drive as they prepare to enter the legal profession.
