February 9, 2015 - Tamara Williams
Wild Friends, an award-winning project of the UNM School of Law that provides hands-on civic education statewide, continues to receive media attention with their 2014-2015 legislative project to develop a statute that would prohibit the unfair and unethical practice of hunting with drones.
Wild Friends describes the progress of this year’s project on their Facebook page.
The Facebook page also includes media attention received – including from the Santa Fe New Mexican, in an article titled, “Senate panel advances bills to ban coyote contests, drone hunting” and KOAT’s program Kids at the Roundhouse program on January 9, 2015 with New Mexico State Senator Jerry Ortiz y Pino. (Programs are usually archived for 2 weeks only.)
